Since one of my sources for all things positive is no longer around, I thought to compensate his absence by googling for positive words.

There are people who can walk away from you.
Let it Go!
And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk away from you: let them walk. I don’t want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone.
When people can walk away from you let them walk.
Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.
The bible said that, they came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have
continued with us. [1 John 2:19]
People leave you because they are not joined to you.
And if they are not joined to you, you can’t make them stay.
Let them go.
And it doesn’t mean that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is over. And you’ve got to know when people’s part in your story is over so that you don’t keep trying to raise the dead.
You’ve got to know when it’s dead. You’ve got to know when it’s over.
Let me tell you something. I’ve got the gift of good-bye. It’s the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye. It’s not that I’m hateful, it’s that I’m faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He’ll give it to me.
And if it takes too much sweat I don’t need it. Stop begging people to stay.

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better……

If you’re stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him……

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship…….

If you keep trying to help someone who won’t even try to help themselves……

If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself

Its odd when people wander away especially when they say they will keep in touch. Its happened many a time in my life yet when you bump into them by accident they will start the conversation as if they had made the effort to keep in contact.
With the type of work I do in the UK as well as moving to the Philippines the numbers of “friends” dwindles as most people are too busy with their lives to keep friendships open unless I am there. Or is it more the case they call me up when they need or want something?
Either way understand the issues but its all part of modern life where people think of themselves and not the people around them.

Yep, thats the only thing you can do and whats best for both.
Easier said then done, but sure its worth letting go, surely will take some time to do that.

Wonderful post and advice-I hope you can follow it. Eventually, you will find that the source of everything positive is your own self
while I understand the logic behind the message I have never believed the whole they were not meant for you stuff. I fully believe that people you are perfectly suited for come into your life, and they can still screw it up. Someone is married 20 years and then gets divorced, but they were not meant to be together?? that does not make sense to me. I was perfectly suited to my ex, and she even said so many times in our 7 yrs and then she left? So was she wrong all those years? She never was suited for me or me for her, and we were just hanging around???
Why is it so hard for people to just realize that some people just screw up the hell up, make poor decisions and leave when they shouldn’t have?
I feel that as human beings, instead of listening to God, we listen to our own flesh, (our own desires) more. Then when things go wrong we get puzzled and ask why did I do that? Be quick and listen to what God says and obey.
