Annoying Bilmokos

Bilmoko is short for the Tagalog phrase “Bili mo ko” which means buy me this. There are just people on this planet who liked to maneuver their way to other people in the off chance of getting some freebies.

I had an interesting interaction with one today.  I was looking at the biscuits and cookies trying to decide on which one I am going to buy when Girlie, weighing 140 pounds with a height of 157 cm, came to me with mouth still full of food and said…

biscuit

Nyahaha. I am still undecided if I should laugh or get angry at Girlie.

And oh yeah, we have a friend who is now working in Singapore and is coming home for a vacation in Philippines soon and people are expecting FREE lunch/dinner from our OFW friend. Poor OFWs!

Free Stool in Apo Island

I kept hearing about how beautiful Apo Island is from many couchsurfer people I’ve met that I’ve included it in our itinerary. It is said to be one of the best diving sites in the whole world but for non-divers like us, I don’t find anything special about this place at all.  Maybe because I haven’t gotten over the travel expenses still just to get to this island.

How to Get to Apo Island from Harold’s Mansion?

1. Ride a tricycle and tell the driver that you are heading for Apo Island and that he should take you to where the jeepney terminal bound for Malatapay Market in Zamboanguita is located. Tricycle fare is 9 pesos I think.

2. At the jeepney terminal, tell the jeepney driver that you are heading for Apo Island and to drop you off to where you can ride a boat to Apo Island in Malatapay Market. Jeepney Fare is 20 pesos.

3. The current price for the round trip boat is 2000 pesos with maximum capacity of 4 people and 3000 pesos for a maximum capacity of 8 people. I tried to haggle for the 2000-pesos boat and insisted that we are VERYYY slim and sexy girls too (nyahaha) but they are very serious about “safety” so we got stuck with the expensive boat.

Upon reaching Apo Island, we had to pay for an entrance fee – 25 pesos for Dumaguete people and 100 pesos for non-Dumaguete people. We insisted that we are from Dumaguete so we got away with 25 pesos charge only. Yippee.

We saw something weird floating in the sea and I tried to come a bit closer so I could take a picture of it. I wasn’t sure if it’s a TAE (stool) or not so I showed the picture to my brother and asked for his opinion. He said that I should have touched it so that I will know for sure. Nyahaha.

What do you think ladies and gentlemen? Is this TAE or NOT???

Other than this gruesome sight, we enjoyed frolicking around the rocky seashore of Apo Island Beach Resort.

Dumaluan Beach, Bohol

When I heard that people are going for a swim at Dumaluan Beach, I was a bit hesitant at first. I knew that Dumaluan is a private place with entrance fee per head but since it was Sunday and packed with mad people, I was able to get inside “undetected” because I didn’t pay a single cent. Yippee.

I love Dumaluan’s white sandy beaches located in Panglao, Bohol. It felt nice to be walking along the shore playing with the sands while enjoying the sea breeze. I would have loved to witness either sunrise or sunset but alas, it wasn’t possible at that time.

Bohol’s Mellow Apartelle

Last weekend, I found myself in Tagbilaran, Bohol supposedly on a photo course mission and more. Bohol, being the 10th largest island in the country, has lots of beautiful things to offer like the luxurious Eskaya Beach Resort and Spa but for cheap people like me who cares only for a roof over my head and a mat to sleep on, there’s a rundown place called Mellow Apartelle and Tourist Inn located in Dampas – Binayran Road which is just 10 minutes tricycle ride away from the seaport.

Mellow Apartelle

The cheapest room available cost only 600 pesos but it’s a very tiny room that features a bed, toilet and bath only. And if you don’t mind seeing a cockroach or two, the place also has several pogi (handsome) points like FREE seaport / airport transfers, located near public market and Island City Mall, FREE Wifi at the lobby and being attended to by their beautiful 22-year old receptionist, Rose.

For reservations:

Eat All You Can at Grand Majestic Restaurant Cebu

In advance celebration of our friend’s birthday, we got a FREE LUNCH treat at Grand Majestic Restaurant which is located in Grand Convention Center, a walking distance from Ayala Center Cebu. Eating at an Eat All You Can Restaurant is one of these girls’ favorite activity so please don’t be deceived by the fact that their gender is FEMALE.  They will probably bankrupt their date with their huge appetite for food.

After a few minutes of eating, I was already full but these girls just kept going to the buffet table for more.

In spite of the warning sign being placed on all the tables about being charged double for left overs or food sharing, the women weren’t afraid of filling up their plate at all. And yes, these girls did have some left overs but we weren’t charged at all contrary to the restaurant’s promise .

Grand Majestic usually boast serving Peking Duck but we had a Lechon Kawali feast at that time and the rest are mostly Chinese foods. All the foods served were very delicious that friends made plans to come back again.

Eat all You Can LUNCH buffet cost 375 pesos per head excluding drinks. Dinner cost 475 pesos per head if I’m not mistaken.
