Goat’s Head for Christmas Dinner

I have this grand idea of cooking a delicious pasta for Christmas but as soon as mom heard about my plan, she said, “NOOOOOOOOO, don’t cook anything for the holidays”.

I figure that she wants to be well and alive still to celebrate 2012 New Year’s Eve so I gave in to her pleas. I stayed away from the kitchen as requested. Besides, there are lots of foods in the refrigerator and I wanted to cook only when my dishes have zero competitors.

For Christmas eve dinner though, I got tired of waiting so I sneaked into the kitchen when everybody was out busy talking to guests and this is what I saw… 2 goat’s head that’s all set to be placed in the cauldron!

And that’s how I lost my appetite and went to bed early on an empty stomach!

2011 Holiday Greetings from Love2Type

What’s your idea of a fun and happy Christmas celebration?

A colleague shared how fun their Christmas tradition was because mother would be hiding money all over the house from 20 pesos bill to 500 pesos bill.  And when relatives / families came over, everyone had a great time eating  meals together and then going on a search misson for the paper bills.  The house was a complete wreck afterwards as expected but the thrill of being part of this amazing race is priceless and worthy of the mess.

We don’t have this tradition in our family but I think this is a splendid idea to adopt too in our home.

Anyway, as 2011 is about to close, I’d like to say thank you to all the bloggers I’ve come to know from different parts of the world. I feel blessed to learn a thing or two from your blogs so here’s me, wishing….

Forever 21, a Boxer’s Motto and Coca-Cola Life

Forever 21 is probably the BIGGEST Store in SM Northwing Cebu and went there with friends last night to buy accessories for upcoming Christmas party. I like their plastic bags because not only they are biodegradable but also shows a nice hopeful message…

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Department party tonight so I was forced to be at the office as early as 7AM. During breakfast, someone jokingly shared a boxer’s ideal motto:

It’s better to give than to receive

A Shopper’s Coca-Cola Life:
Going to the Mall – Coke “Litro” / Litre
On buying items – Coke “Sakto” / Exact (At 5 pesos / 0.09 Euro for 200 ml)
On the way home – Coke Zero
