Weekends were spent in Meißen because of its winefest. The beauty about living in a very very very small town is that we get so excited by the simplest thing although it is a fest like any other fest. Everything is the same more or less really. I see again the Trdelnik shop which we love to eat for dessert, the russische-clad people selling oily Pelmeni for 5 Euro and many more familiar shops. Even shop that has no way to do with the winefest such as the one who sells soap and shampoo is there too but warum nicht! Still, it makes fun walking around and looking at the actions with kid and hubby in tow. It would probably be depressing if you are at it alone.
We planned the two-days fest to have something for each of us. A zoo for Mirang, food and picture taking for me and river fishing at the Triebisch for Papa when Mira and I needed to take a nap. It is a win-win combo and everyone was happy. The thing I love most about the activity is tasting the Federweisser wine from Meißen. I enjoyed it because alcohol is so low it is like drinking carbonated fruit juice. But not all Federweisser are created equal because the second glass we bought was awful.
Anyway, below are some of the pictures taken.
